Hello, Neptunes well it’s been two long years, but our Home Pool is open again.
A big thank you to our fine coaches, our great athletes, and our fantastic families for sticking with the club and keeping the Neptunes strong.
With the reopening of the Pool, we are starting up our Water Polo Program and our Artistic Swimming program, formerly known as Synchro.
With our Head Coaches, Kim Fabbro in swimming, Allison Campbell with water Polo, and Teri Kempter with Artistic Swimming we will have super programs and a lot of fun at the pool.

  • LET’S GO NEPTUNES!!!!!!! *

We’re bringing back Artistic swimming! Meet our new Coach Teri Kempter.

Welcome parents and future artistic swimmers,
I am a fully certified NCCP level two coach and judge in the sport of Artistic Swimming and Rhythmic Gymnastics. My passion for inclusive coaching started with my course work in Supporting Positive Behavior Welcoming All Abilities, Respect in Sport For Activity Leaders, Making Headway in Sport, and Coaching is Teaching. As my coaching journey continues, I look forward to being part of a coaching community that embraces inclusion for all athletes in Artistic Swimming.
I have been coaching and mentoring swimmers for 20 years Clubs. I was recognized by Artistic Swimming Canada for my outstanding work and development with the athletes that I have trained. I was the Head Coach of the Artistic Swimming Club and Assistant Coach for the Rhythmic Gymnastic teams in Newfoundland for 10 years where I planned and executed coaching sessions for Provincial, Atlantic, Summer and Winter Games and National swimmers. I also managed and mentored coaching staff on site. I moved to British Columbia in 2002 where I began to coach for the BC Aquasonics. I coached all Recreational and Provincial athletes for 3 years.
I myself was an artistic swimmer for 23 years and won many Provincial and Atlantic titles. I have competed at National Championships, The Canada Winter Games and The American Master Nationals.
It is my belief that as a coach it is my role to ensure that the swimmers have fun at every aspect of learning and swimming. My goal is to introduce creative play in the water with and without music and to focus on the development of movement and motor skills. Helping athletes achieve their goals in a supportive and encouraging environment is my number one priority.
See you on deck!
Teri

The HomeTown Hero for this year is Monika Eggens a former Haney Neptune Water Polo player that will be representing Canada at this year’s Tokyo Olympics. The Banquet honoring Monika’s entry into the HomeTown Hero’s will be at Pitt Meadows Secondary Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

The Provincial office has released the info for bookings at UBC. The booking link below will take you to our Region’s booking portal. The option provided is a Private suite with six bedrooms, each with a single bed. Sleeps up to six people. Washroom with two showers (no bathtub), lounge with TV, wired internet, and fully equipped kitchen. Located on floors 2 to 9 in each Tower. The apartment does not have air conditioning.

The suite is sold at a flat rate of $338 + tax per night regardless of the number of occupants; a maximum of 6 guests per suite. Occupants must have the same check-in and check-out dates.

It is up to you if you want to organize with other families to split this cost. The province had asked Jim to admin this, but he declined =) cause he has faith that each club and family can figure it out, and make plans to the way each family wants it.

If you are unsure 50/50, book anyways, if all the rooms get booked UBC will open another tower, they just don’t want to open another tower and have no one show up.

At this point, we have 15 rooms allocated for our Region. Again, once these get booked and if we need more then Jim can request that. He is not sure when the last date is that they are willing to open more rooms, but they guarantee that to cancel a booking 10 days in advance will come with NO PENALTY. So people can make their final minds up after our Regionals and be OK.
