Welcome to Fall Maintenance 2021! We are very fortunate and happy to have the Maple Ridge Leisure Center open for our Fall Maintenance program beginning the week of September 18, 2021. Groups and group times are still to be determined. All programming runs on the weekends, except Masters which runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Water Polo ends December 11, 2021 and Speed Swimming ends December 19, 2021.

For all registrants:

· Online Registration only: All Registrations must be completed on-line as per BCSSA. The link to the ActiveWorks Swim Manager for on-line Registration will be provided below or simply click Registration on our Main Page. There is a non-refundable ActiveWorks user fee for using on-line registration and this fee goes directly to ActiveWorks.

· Speed Swimming: This program runs on Saturday and Sunday. Swimmers are required to swim 25m in any recognizable stroke. New swimmers will need to be assessed by our coaching staff on Saturday, September 18 and time to be announced before September 18.

· Junior Neptunes: There are limited spots available for this program which runs on Saturday and Sunday, 30 minutes each practice. Priority is provided to younger siblings of current Neptunes. This program is geared towards our young swimmers who are unable to swim 25m without assistance

· Masters: Our Masters swim program is offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

“S” vs “O” designation:

When registering you will come across a question regarding whether your swimmer is a “S” or “O” status swimmer. Most of our swimmers are “S” status swimmers and for kids new to swim club, please choose the “S” Status. Below is a detailed explanation of the two different status types.

An ‘S’ swimmer is an individual who trains and competes with BCSSA for an unrestricted number of hours between May 1st and September 30th of each year. From October 1st to April 30th an ‘S’ swimmer may participate in speed swimming training and/or “winter” swim meets, provided the activity(ies) does/do not exceed a total of two (2) hours within a calendar week. A calendar week is Sunday through Saturday. A swim meet counts as one hour per day. Note that a swimmer can train and compete in diving, water polo, synchronized swimming with no restrictions and organized high school swim teams do not affect “S” status.

An ‘O’ Swimmer is an individual who participates in organized aquatic activity during the winter season October 1st to April 30th prior to registration, if any activity was in excess of the provisions stated above.
